Who we are
consuldehonduras.com is an independent editorial project that gathers, in one clear place, the information the Honduran community in the United States needs about its consulates: where they are, which phone number to call, their opening hours, what procedures they handle and how to request an appointment.
We are an independent team familiar with the day-to-day of immigration and consular matters. The idea came from seeing how scattered and changeable this information is: each office's details live on different websites, hours shift, and many pages do not read well on a phone. Our job is to organize all of that and present it simply, designed to answer a specific question in just a few minutes.
Who this site is for
It is aimed at the hundreds of thousands of Hondurans living in the U.S., from the large communities in Houston, Miami, New York, New Orleans or Charlotte to those who live far from any consulate. If you need to renew your Honduran passport, get a consular ID, register a child born in the U.S., or understand how TPS affects you, you will find it explained step by step here.
How we verify information
Accuracy comes first. Before publishing a consulate listing or a procedure guide, we cross-check the data against official sources:
- The official appointments and procedures platform of SRECI (citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn).
- The official channels of each Honduran consulate (institutional sites, emails and verified social media).
- For U.S. immigration matters (such as TPS), official U.S. sources, especially USCIS and the Federal Register.
Even so, addresses, hours and phone numbers can change without notice. That is why we recommend always confirming the detail at the official source before traveling, and we review our pages regularly. If you see something outdated, let us know from the contact page: we verify and correct it.
What we are NOT
consuldehonduras.com is an independent informational website. We are not the official site of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (SRECI), the Government of Honduras, or any consulate. We do not book appointments, we do not issue passports or consular IDs, and we do not represent any Honduran authority.
All official procedures are carried out through government channels: citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn and your consulate's official website. You can read the details in our Legal Notice.
How the site is funded
Access is completely free. To cover the costs of writing, hosting and maintenance, we display advertising through Google AdSense. Those ads do not influence the content: consular information is produced with editorial and accuracy criteria, fully independent of advertisers.
